Some years ago a nurse of my acquaintance asked me the following riddle: Q: Why to they screw down the casket lids when a patient dies of cancer? A: To stop the oncologist from saying, “Wait – there’s one more thing that we might try.” Of course, the joke isn’t fair to oncologists, is it...? What brought that to mind was this article I found in the “In the News” list on the website of the Center for Practical Bioethics. The story relates to a paper presented at the recent 2008 Annual Meeting

In a news conference a week ago with Merkel, Bush thanked her for the dinner, which included schnitzel, asparagus and fresh strawberries."Laura and I loved our dinner last night," Bush said. "For those in the German press who thought I didn't like asparagus, you're wrong. The German asparagus are fabulous."

The pictures, published on the website of the Australian newspaper Herald Sun, show that the airline has followed the trend set by Singapore Airlines by installing the first class cabin on the main deck, with the business class section located on the upper deck.

Nowadays the trend is towards protecting the Earth, recycle, reuse, materials... Recently I went to the Wikipedia and saw a new building material which claims to be able to be recycled 20 times. Astonishing.
